How Facilities Are Verified

Last Updated: August 1, 2026

Current Status

We want to be direct about this: RehabSeek's state directory pages are live, but individual treatment center profiles are still being populated and verified. Where a state page doesn't yet show center listings, it says so plainly rather than showing placeholder or unverified providers. We'd rather have an honest "still verifying" notice than a listing we can't stand behind.

What "Verified" Means, Once a Listing Is Live

A listing that carries the "SAMHSA-Verified" or "Verified" label on RehabSeek has had each of the following checked directly against a primary source, not inferred from a facility's own marketing:

What We Don't Verify

Verification confirms accreditation, licensure, and contact accuracy. It does not constitute a clinical endorsement, a guarantee of outcomes, or a review of care quality — RehabSeek is not a medical provider and doesn't evaluate treatment efficacy at individual facilities.

Re-verification

Once listings are live, each will show a "last verified" date, and we plan to re-check accreditation/licensure status on a recurring basis rather than treating verification as a one-time check at listing creation.
